The Zoo Magnet Center is a small high school magnet program in Griffith Park.  A satellite magnet of North Hollywood High School, the Zoo Magnet provides approximately 300 LAUSD students from across the city unique educational opportunities.  The challenging college preparatory experience is focused on animal studies and biological sciences.

Our classrooms open out on a living laboratory that includes the L.A. Zoo and Botanical Gardens, L.A. River ecosystem, Autry National Center and the natural world of Griffith Park. The human scale of the Zoo Magnet campus supports an inclusive school community where students and teachers learn together and no one is lost in the crowd.


The 2015 Graduation Ceremony will take place on June 5th at North Hollywood High School.  Graduation rehearsal is at 8am.  The graduation ceremony is at 6pm.  CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!!!

Senior Trip!
The Senior Trip will take place from May 18th (4:30pm) to the 22nd (5:30pm) at CAMP TRASK in the San Gabriel Valley.  Click here for more details.

ZMPC Giving Campaign!

The Zoo Magnet relies on the Zoo Magnet Parent Council (ZMPC) to fund programs for the school.  We begin each school year with an Annual Giving Campaign to serve as an opportunity for our community members to make donations.

Parent Council Meetings
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 14th, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Zoo Magnet. Elections for all positions will be held. To request items be added to the agenda, please contact the ZMPC Secretary (click here to email) no later than 48 hours before the meeting. Visit the Parent Tab - Parent Council for complete minutes posting.  Minutes are posted after approval.
